A large utility provider tasked our client with performing an upgrade to one of their existing substations. The work required new power lines to be run underground.
The consequence of hitting underground lines at a power substation is very high due to the possibility of power outages for customers as well as life-threatening injury for the construction worker, so they needed to avoid any contact with underground lines.
The work was assigned to our Radar Hawk team and we were able to identify every underground line in the facility and provided them with a detailed report.
Our work allowed them to avoid these risks and was completed safely, and our client was awarded a contract to do similar work on other substations.
